Save the date for the 2010 Western States Conference which will be held May 25-28, 2010 at the Asilomar Conference Grounds in Pacific Grove, California.

WSC is implementing a new method for residents and fellows to submit their PowerPoint files for presentation. For this year's meeting, we will be requiring that presentation files be uploaded to a central web site. Detailed instructions on the upload process are provide on the link shown below. Important information:

1. The residents and fellows will be required to upload their files to the web site,
2. On-site uploading or changes will not be allowed unless the uploaded file does not open properly, and
3. The deadline for file uploaded will be MONDAY MAY 17th at 5PM PDT. Files uploaded after that will not be accepted.

Preceptors, please take note of the file upload deadline, and schedule your residents' practice sessions accordingly. If you have any questions about this, please contact Michael Katz, Pharm.D. : WSC Technology Coordinator at (katz@pharmacy.arizona.edu).

The 2009 Conference attracted an audience of over 770 pharmacy opinion leaders, preceptors, residents, and fellows from more than 125 institutions, including the 13 Western States’ major teaching hospitals, managed care organizations and federal facilities. Approximately 495 pharmacy residents and fellows presented their clinical, administrative and technology related projects and research during the four day annual conference.

The Conference is open to current pharmacy residents, fellows and preceptors from postgraduate training programs throughout the Western United States and to WSC sponsors. For sponsorship information, please see the "become a sponsor” link.
