SEVEN STEPS TO A SUCCESSFUL CONFERENCE EXPERIENCE

1. Please read and review the WSC website paying particular attention to the WELCOME section’s Welcome Letter and General Information pages. The web pages contain general information on the Conference and will answer many questions as you begin to prepare your abstract and PowerPoint file for submission and presentation.
2. You will also want to review the Preliminary Schedule as it will give you an idea of what to expect at the Conference.

4. Please read and review the pages in the CALL FOR ABSTRACTS section paying particular attention to the “RULES” for Abstract Preparation page. Each abstract must meet the criteria presented on these pages.
5. Please read and review the Platform Category designations; then select and consistently use the most appropriate category designation for your presentation. You will use this category designation several times during PowerPoint file preparation, abstract submission, registration, etc., so please keep a record of the category you have selected.

7. Please read and review the Continuing Education Rules & Guidelines. Each presentation will be assigned Continuing Education Credit. Therefore all speakers and presentations must adhere to the rules for continuing education programming.
8. Please read and review Preparing for Your Presentation which will guide you as you begin to prepare your presentation for the Conference.
9. Please read and review Creating Effective PowerPoint Presentations. This page will assist you as you prepare your presentation for the Conference. Presentation rooms at the Asilomar Conference Grounds tend to be lighter and brighter than presentation rooms in many hotels and medical centers, so we have created this information as a guideline to help you have an effective presentation
