By Air
Several airlines fly into Monterey Peninsula Airport (MRY), notably United Express, American Eagle, Allegiant Air and US Airways. Fares to Monterey are generally much higher than fares to San Jose International Airport.

Ground transportation from San Jose Airport to downtown Monterey leaves 7 times daily, via Monterey Salinas Airbus. (Monterey Salinas Airbus - 791 Neeson Road, Marina, CA 93933 - (831) 373-7777)

By Bus or Train

• Monterey Salinas Transit (MST) From Downtown Monterey Take the MST Route 1 to Asilomar.
  From Salinas (for Amtrak and Greyhound connections)
  
• Amtrak's Coast Starlight has daily trains to Salinas. Click here for schedule information. Connecting bus service to downtown Monterey is available.
