DEAR SPONSORS, PRECEPTORS, RESIDENTS, & FELLOWS:

We are writing to announce our 30th Annual Western States Conference for Pharmacy Residents, Fellows, and Preceptors. Our meeting will begin with registration at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday May 25, 2010 and will conclude at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 28, 2010 at the Asilomar Conference Grounds in Pacific Grove, CA.

Call for Abstract instructions and forms along with registration links are available on our web site. Please note the important CE Requirements, Platform Categories, and Keyword Index Information. These requirements are in effect and are an important part of our process for CE accreditation. In addition, be sure to review the Rules for Preparing Abstracts and the PowerPoint Presentation Checklist.

There are separate online registration forms for residents/fellows and preceptors/sponsors. All participants must register using our online payment processing system which accepts Visa/MC/AMEX. We are no longer able to accept check payment, or bulk institution payments; each participant will be required to pay as they register or to arrange for online third party payment. Please print the receipt at the conclusion of your registration process.

Along with online registration, residents and fellows will submit their abstracts and PowerPoint presentations online. For abstract submission during registration, residents and fellows will need their abstract title, platform category, keywords, and other information as detailed in the abstract preparation guidelines. In late April, additional information related to the online PowerPoint submission process will be emailed to registered residents, fellows and preceptors.

The deadline for on-time resident/fellow registration and payment is February 19, 2010. The deadline for on-time preceptor registration and payment is March 12, 2010.

This year we are working with a new conference planner, California Society of Health-System Pharmacists. We are excited to utilize their expertise with planning a successful professional conference.
